Privacy Policy

HomeVNC is a VNC client for iPhone and iPad. It collects no data about you. Nothing you do in the app is sent to the developer or to anyone else; the only connection the app makes is the one you set up, to your own computer.
What stays on your device
- Saved servers (name, address, port, username and per-server settings) are kept in the app's own storage on your device and in your device backups.
- Passwords are saved only if you choose "Remember". They go in the iOS Keychain, marked as usable on this device only, and are read back only after Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode. They are not backed up or synced to other devices. Deleting a server deletes its password.
- A small screenshot of the last screen seen is kept for each saved server, for the icon view. It is deleted with the server.
- Files you fetch from a Mac are saved in the app's folder in the Files app.
- Screenshots you save go to your Photos library, with add-only permission.
What is sent to the computer you connect to
By design, the remote computer receives your taps, keystrokes, and, when clipboard sync is on for that server, the text on your clipboard. Files you send land on that computer. The app talks only to the address you entered or picked from the local network.
Connections to a Mac over Apple's Screen Sharing protocol are encrypted. Plain VNC connections to other servers are not; use them only on networks you trust.
Permissions
- Local Network, to find and connect to servers on your Wi-Fi.
- Face ID, to unlock a remembered password.
- Photos (add only), to save screenshots when you ask.
Analytics, tracking and third parties
None. HomeVNC contains no analytics, advertising, crash reporting or tracking of any kind, and does not use any third-party service.
